Oppsss....

Hubby needed a new hard drive, so we drove to Media Markt. After waiting for what seemed like 30 minutes, I decided to approach two men in an identical suit who were carrying a box of Dyson vacuum cleaner.

I said, could you please help me?

The guys looked at each other and said in unison, sure.

I pointed at my husband and told the guys we needed their assistance to help us decide which one to buy.

The guys looked at each other, and stared at me. Somewhat annoyed and impatient, I said half-jokingly, well? Are we still going to wait for the rainy season?

The older guy smiled and said, well .....

I said, yessss?

Hubby came, put his arms around me and whispered in my ears, they don´t work here.

Oppppsss. lol

One day (ten years ago) when I lived in Hilversum I went to visit shops for a certain kitchen utensil (I don't remember which). I found some different brands of it and went days later with hubby to make a choice. But once in the shopping boulevard I couldn't figure out which shop was it, nor remember the name. Once inside a department store I told him: "hey, I remember the name of the shop, it was CASA I think." He said there was no shop called CASA in Hilversum. I pointed to a board in a shop and said: "Look there: must be here because it is written KASSA." He laughed and said: "that is a very popular place in Holland, every shop has "Kassas" (check out counters). Duh !

One day in my lunch time i needed something urgently and visited market. While i was in one of female clothing shop, one lady came to me and started asking me she wanted to change something.
I stared at her with a look what's wrong with her, and then realised and said no, i don't work here... hehehe and then it came to my notice - the reason behind the confusion... I had forgotten to remove my office id badge from my trouser.... ooops... she saw it, didn't read it and thought there is someone with a badge means working here ;o)

ahahahah I knew it! But don;t worry you're not the only one who experiences those. It's just that, the Dutch are so lacking in fashion variety that they look the same.

Sol: They didn't say anything but they had frozen smiles (like clowns) on their face until they left the store. Kaaalo baya! lol

Cherie: We left at once. No time to wait for the rainy season! hahahahaha And here's another twist of faith. When we were getting in our car, I realized that their car was parked beside ours because they were busy loading the boxes. I was catatonic until we were finally out of the commercial district! HAHAHAHAHA

@Pinay in Dutchland: I know what you mean! lol That's why I never shop during lunch breaks (between 11 - 1) because they all look like "your friendly Electrolux man" LOL ....

You know, "I'm gonna knock on your door, ring on your bell... tap at your window too.." LOL Remember that Electrolux ad? Probably not. LOL

That was hilarious!!! But my question is - didn't they tell you that they were customers just like you?
Cheers!
